80th Anniversary Lunch

Saturday, 1st October 2011 at 12:15pm

The President, Chairman and Corporate Group members of Eastleigh RFC invite all members, former players and guests to join them to officially mark the Club's 80th Anniversary. Eastleigh RFC as we know it today was formed by 19 young lads in the summer of 1931 at a meeting in the Town Hall. Home games were played at Fleming Park, and the Home Tavern [ now Wagon Wheel ] used as the first Clubhouse. Eastleigh Town had a rugby team as far back as 1892, but it dissolved during and after the First World War. The reunion 3 course lunch will precede the League home game against Millbrook RFC, which kicks off at 3pm.

We are making a nominal charge of £10 per head for the lunch but would ask that you purchase your own liquid refreshment.

This is an open invitation to Club members, their partners, friends or guests. If you wish to attend, please download and print the application form, fill it in and return it, with a cheque, to Malcom Pain at the address on the form. The form must be received no later than 18th September 2011.
